CARING FOR CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS

The average lifespan of a CEXXY Clip In Hair Extension is six months provided you take good care of them. 

1. Bleaching and dyeing of your extensions is not recommended.  Choose the right colour from the outset so that you don't need change the colour later on. Your extensions can become permanently damaged by bleaching and dyeing, as both of these processes can dry the hair out. If you really do feel the need to dye your extensions, then it is advisable to get help from a professional stylist with the appropriate level of experience to do this properly.

2. Washing should be done after ten to twenty wears to keep your clip ins looking their best, and to ensure that they do not become unmanageable due to too much product build-up. You should also choose a shampoo and conditioner that will not dry out the hair, and use lukewarm (and not hot) water. 

3. Brushing your human hair clip in extensions should be done before and after every use. It is better to use a brush rather than a comb, as too much pressure may be placed on the extensions with a comb. A paddle brush, or one with soft bristles will be your best choice. 

4. Styling your clip in hair extensions with hot iron tools such as straighteners and curling tongs is possible as long as you always protect them with a heat protection spray before any styling is carried out. Wavy clip in extensions are available, and this may be a better choice than trying to curl straight extensions every time.
